The Urban Soccer Field at the Aurora YMCA at Wheatland will open for open play starting Wednesday, October 25th! From 8 AM - 5:30 PM Monday - Friday, (No open play will be available on Friday from 9:45 AM-12:15 PM due to programming.) Saturday open from 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM and Sunday from 8 AM-3:30 PM. Closed on Holidays.

Our urban soccer field, measuring an impressive 90' x 130', has been thoughtfully crafted with environmentally-friendly, recyclable turf certified for small-sided soccer. This 5v5, 5-a-side configuration may have a smaller footprint, but it comes with a range of advantages over traditional soccer. Players can fine-tune their off-the-ball movement, foot skills, technique, and instinctual decision-making. Plus, the specially engineered recyclable turf provides a comfortable landing for every player.
In its initial phase, the field is dedicated to the Y's Sports of All Sorts program, catering to young athletes aged 3 to 5. Looking ahead, it will become the home of youth soccer, volleyball, and adult flag football, starting in 2024. Additionally, groups have the option to rent this exceptional field, giving residents, YMCA members, and others the chance to maximize its potential. Please note that access to the facilities is contingent on their open status.
