Pilates Reformer is a system of controlled movements performed on a special frame with a moveable, sliding carriage. Using cords, pulleys – and springs to increase and decrease resistance – Pilates Reformer provides a safe, effective way to strengthen your core and build uniform, lean muscles.
Y instructor Colleen explains, “Pilates Reformer strengthens from the inside out, turning the body into a strong and healthy powerhouse. Many of my clients leave saying, ‘I feel taller.’”
Each Pilates Reformer exercise can be modified to match each individual's fitness level. Because it is so safe and gentle, it’s great for physical therapy, and for people who are recovering from injuries or dealing with issues such as “bad knees” or “shoulder problems.” Pilates Reformer also provides effective cross-training for walkers, cyclists, runners, and swimmers. It’s an accessible alternative for building core strength and sculpting muscles, without risking injuries that could disrupt one's regular cardio routine.
Pilates Reformer classes are offered at the Aurora, Downtown, Littleton and University Hills locations. YMCA members receive a discount on all classes and packages.
All newcomers are required to complete an initial evaluation session with one of our instructors. Cost varies based on membership

24 hours’ notice is required for all appointment cancellations. Fee-based sessions that are cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment time will be deducted from the client’s account.
Please note our program cancellation and refund policy effective October 1, 2023.
Note: Costs for many Group, Private, and Semi-Private sessions have been reduced. In addition, there are savings for members and non-members on packages of 5, 10, and 20 Semi-Private sessions, and packages of 5 and 10 Private sessions. Learn more here.
