Join the fun and unlock your child's full potential through YMCA Youth Basketball!

The YMCA Youth Basketball League is a fun and inclusive program that introduces kids to the fundamentals of basketball while building strength, endurance, and self-confidence. Whether your child is experienced or just starting out, our program provides a supportive environment to develop their skills.

 

We offer the following age rangse:

  • 3 - 5 years old: Co-ed (Saturday only, YMCA Staff Led)
  • 6 - 8 years old: Co-ed (Volunteer Coach Led)
  • 8 - 10 years old: Boys & Girls Divisions (Volunteer Coach Led)
  • 10 - 12 years old: Boys & Girls Divisions (Volunteer Coach Led)
  • 12 - 14 years old: Boys & Girls Divisions (Volunteer Coach Led)

Our basketball programs are hosted at the following YMCA locations:

  • Arvada YMCA
  • Central Park YMCA
  • Littleton YMCA
  • Southwest YMCA
  • University Hills YMCA

Games and practices may also take place at nearby gyms or fields, with schedules provided through QuickScores.

The basketball season lasts 8 weeks.

  • For 6-14 year olds, there will be 1 hour-long practice per week.
  • Games and practices will be scheduled at local YMCAs or nearby locations, with the complete schedule available through QuickScores.

To participate in the YMCA Youth Basketball League, players should come prepared with:

  • Athletics Shorts or Pants
  • Tennis Shoes or Basketball Shoes
  • For the 3-5 year old division, the league is staff led by YMCA staff.
  • For the 6-14 year old divisions, teams are coached by volunteer coaches.

Yes! We encourage volunteers to get involved and help coach. Volunteer coaches are essential to the success of our program. If you're interested in coaching, please reach out to your local YMCA for more information.
