Campfire Across America: Join the Denver Y for a Nationwide Night of Connection

For generations, campfires have been places where people gather, stories are shared and friendships begin. They remind us to slow down, connect with one another and create memories that last long after the fire goes out.

On Wednesday, July 22, 2026, the YMCA of Metro Denver will bring that tradition to life as we join YMCAs across the country for Campfire Across America—a one-night celebration of connection, reflection and belonging.

From coast to coast, YMCA communities in all 50 states will gather around symbolic campfires, creating a shared experience that highlights what makes the Y special: bringing people together. Whether you're a longtime member, a camp family or participating in a Y program for the first time, you'll have a seat around the campfire.

At each Denver Y location, we'll create space to connect through conversation, storytelling and simple moments of togetherness. Enjoy a campfire-inspired music playlist, share what the Y means to you on our "What Lights Your Y?" story wall and take home a sweet s'mores treat while supplies last.

While each campfire will have its own unique stories, together they'll become part of something much larger. Campfire Across America is a reminder that when communities come together with purpose, we create stronger, more connected neighborhoods—and that spirit extends far beyond a single evening.
