Scale the Summit this Summer




Challenge yourself and join your fellow Y members this summer in the Scale the Summit Challenge.

All members and staff are eligible. Join the challenge online in the YMCA Mobile App where you can track your progress and see the progress of your fellow participants. 

Start at the beginning, the TRAILHEAD, by signing up for the six-week challenge in the YMCA Mobile App.

You can also track your progress in your wellness center - get your 'trail marker' / decal at the front desk.

After each workout, log your progress in the mobile app and/or move your trail marker. Workouts can be walking, running, cycling, a fitness class, swimming or any workout completed in your YMCA or outdoors. The key is to step it up!

Rewards along the way! 

Join the challenge and receive rewards along the way - starting at the TRAILHEAD, BASECAMP and, finally, the SUMMIT. Complete the challenge - 24 workouts by July 15 - and you will be entered into a prize drawing. Three individuals will receive a Myzone heart rate monitor band!

*All give-aways are while supplies last.

At the beginning, the TRAILHEAD, you receive your YMCA Chapsticks and your ‘trail marker’/decal*, from the Front Desk to move along the trail in your YMCA Wellness Center.

Complete and log 12 workouts to reach the halfway point, or BASECAMP. At BASECAMP, you are rewarded with a YMCA Sunglasses.*  Now, the challenge, the SUMMIT! Get your next 12 workouts in and logged to reach the completion of the challenge, the SUMMIT. 


With a total of 24 workouts by July 15, you’ve reached the SUMMIT! Congratulations! You’ve earned your YMCA drawstring bag.* You are also entered into a drawing for a Myzone heart rate monitor band.

All members and staff.

How do I log my workouts?

Use the YMCA mobile app. Also, get your decal from the Front Desk and make sure you move your marker as you progress toward the SUMMIT. 

What workouts are eligible?

Just about anything! Walk, run, cycling, fitness class, swimming. The key is to challenge yourself over the 6-week period.

Do I have to use both the Mobile app and trail marker?

Some may find it easier to track their progress digitally. But it’s not required. Use our decal to move along the trail in your YMCA wellness center.
