Introducing NextGen Access: Expanding YMCA Membership for Families

NextGen Membership Denver Y
April 20, 2026

The YMCA is all about strengthening families — and the NextGen Access membership makes it easier than ever for all generations to be part of the experience.

Designed specifically for dependents (ages 0–17) of eligible third-party payer members, NextGen Access extends YMCA benefits to families enrolled through programs like SilverSneakers, Renew Active and Silver&Fit.

How It Works

NextGen Access is a simple, flexible add-on that allows eligible members to bring their children — and even one additional adult  — into the YMCA community.

Membership Structure:

  • $20/month base membership
    • Includes up to 2 dependents (ages 0–17)
  • Additional dependents:
    • $5/month per child
    • Up to 6 dependents total (2 included + 4 additional)
  • Extra adult:
    • Option to add 1 additional adult
  • Alternative option:
    • $20 per dependent add-on (depending on enrollment structure)

Who Is Eligible

NextGen Access is available to active Denver YMCA members enrolled through one of the following third-party payers:

  • SilverSneakers
  • Renew Active
  • Silver&Fit

What Dependents Receive

Children enrolled through NextGen Access enjoy the same high-quality experience as YMCA members, including:

  • Premium membership access
  • Member pricing on programs like sports, swim lessons, and camps
  • Access to family-friendly spaces, including:
    • Adventure Zone child care
    • Pools
    • Gyms
    • Kids Night Out programming

To ensure full access to these benefits, dependents are enrolled as active members, making them eligible for member rates and program participation.

Why It Matters

NextGen Access helps bridge generations — giving kids the opportunity to stay active, build friendships and grow in a supportive environment, all while making it easier for families to stay connected through the YMCA.

Whether it’s their first swim lesson or a season of youth sports, NextGen Access ensures every child has a place to belong.
