Enhancing Your YMCA Experience Through Digital Upgrades

Mobile Phone
September 3, 2026

We are committed to providing members with the best possible experience across every touchpoint at the Y. That's why we are launching an upgraded digital platform and a revamped mobile app designed to make the daily YMCA experience more seamless, flexible and convenient. By adopting proven technology used by leading YMCAs across the country, we are modernizing how our community interacts with our programs, classes and facilities.

What's Changing?

A New YMCA Online Account

Our new account and registration system will provide a more streamlined way to manage memberships, explore programs and register online.

Beginning Sept. 8, all members and participants will need to set up a new YMCA online account before registering for programs or managing their account online.

Already registered for a YMCA program? Current registrations — including swim lessons, youth sports, Y Academy preschool and Out of School Time — will transfer to the new system. Member barcodes will also transfer.

An Updated Denver YMCA Mobile App

We're also updating the Denver YMCA mobile app with new features and a more convenient member experience. Members will still be able to use the app to reserve group exercise classes up to 10 days in advance, view reservations and access membership barcodes.

Plus, new features will allow members to:

  • Reserve Adventure Zone
  • Purchase and book Personal Training and Pilates Reformer sessions
  • View trainer photos and bios
  • Check facility hours
  • Log workouts and connect health data
  • Access YMCA360 and more

Good news: Existing membership barcodes will automatically transfer to the new system and sync with the updated app! Check our mobile app FAQ on how to add your barcode to your smart phone.

Easier, More Secure Payments

There will also be new secure payment terminals at our YMCA front desks. The new terminals will allow payments by inserting or tapping a debit or credit card or using Apple Pay or Google Pay. And waivers can be securely signed directly on the screen.

What Do Members Need to Do?

Before the launch on Sept. 8, members need to: Make sure the email address connected to their YMCA membership is current. It will be needed to set up accounts in the new system.

Beginning Sept. 8, members will need to: Follow the steps below to set up your account correctly before you begin registering for programs.

STEP 1: Ensure you have a valid email and phone number connected to your Denver YMCA membership account. If you don't or are unsure, please visit the front desk or contact our customer service team.

STEP 2: On September 8, go to denverymca.org and click My Account in the top right corner. Under YMCA Account, select "Access My Account."

STEP 3: At the "Login or find your account" prompt, enter the email address or phone number associated with your account. Click "Submit."

STEP 4: At the next screen, select an option to "Get a one-time code" by email, SMS/text or voice call. Click "Get Code."

STEP 5: Check your email or text. Enter the one-time code to verify your account. Enter your new password and confirm password. Click "Reset and Login."

You have now set up your YMCA Account and can view your information and register for programs!

If you do not have an existing account, you will be prompted with the question "Would you like to sign up for an account?" Select Sign Up, select a membership and complete the information required. You will receive a confirmation email once you have successfully joined.

STEP 6: YMCA MOBILE APP

iPhone users: If your iPhone does not automatically update your apps, you must go to the Apple Store, search for the Denver YMCA mobile app and select update.

Android users: Go to the Google Play store, search for the Denver YMCA mobile app, and download the new Denver YMCA app.

STEP 7: Once the app updates, create an app account using these steps:

  1. Select "first time user."
  2. Enter the same email address from the YMCA Account you just set up.
  3. You'll receive a PIN # in your email from upace@upaceapp.com. (If you don’t see it in your inbox, check your junk folder.)
  4. Enter the PIN # in the mobile app.
  5. Create a password. (If you don't want to remember multiple passwords, use the same password as your YMCA Account.)

Once you are logged into your mobile app account, you can experience all the new features! Good news — your barcode to check in at the YMCA will automatically sync to the new system.

To add your barcode to Apple or Google Wallet:

  1. Log into My Account on YMCA website.
  2. From your profile page, next to your photo, select barcode.
  3. Add to wallet.
  4. Check phone number and select Send.

What to Expect During the Transition

Class Reservation Availability

Sept. 1: Last day to reserve classes a full 10 days in advance in the current system. You can reserve classes taking place through Sept. 10.

Sept. 2 – 6: Reservations will temporarily be limited. You can continue making reservations for classes taking place through Sept. 7, but reservations for later dates will not be available.

Sept. 7: No class reservations can be made as we complete the transition to the new system. The Denver YMCA mobile app will be unavailable. All Denver YMCA centers will be open 7 AM – 3 PM in observance of Labor Day.

Sept. 8: Our new reservation system launches! Beginning this day, all class reservations will be made in the YMCA app/new system. You can also sign up for fitness classes online

EGYM User Data

Beginning Sept. 8, you may experience a temporary delay in accessing your EGYM workout data. You can continue using EGYM equipment as usual, and your workout data will still be tracked. By late September, you'll be able to access your data through the updated/new Denver YMCA app under Quick Actions.

Member Account Photos

Your photo will not transfer to Daxko, so drop by the front desk as soon as you can to say cheese! Get your photo taken by October 1 to be entered into a drawing for three months of free Denver YMCA membership!

Member Payment Methods

Your payment information will transfer to Daxko approximately 1-2 weeks after launch. During this short window, you will not have a payment method on file. If you wish to register for a program in person, staff will help you add a payment method.

We're Here to Help We know new technology can take a little getting used to. On-site support will be available at YMCA centers Sept. 8 – 10 to help members and participants create and update their accounts. We're grateful for our community's patience as we make these improvements. We're excited to bring a simpler, more convenient YMCA experience — online, in the app and at the Y.
