Upgraded Online Systems to Improve Your Y Experience
Big improvements are coming to the Denver YMCA! Beginning Sept. 8, we're launching a new YMCA online account and program registration system, along with an updated Denver YMCA mobile app. These updates are designed to make some of the things you do most at the Y — from registering for swim lessons to reserving your favorite group exercise class — simpler and more convenient.
What’s Changing?
A New YMCA Online Account
Our new account and registration system will provide a more streamlined way to manage your membership, explore programs and register online.
Beginning Sept. 8, all members and participants will need to set up a new YMCA online account before registering for programs or managing their account online.
Already registered for a YMCA program? Your current registrations — including swim lessons, youth sports, Y Academy preschool and Out of School Time — will transfer to the new system. Member payment methods, photos and barcodes will also transfer.
An Updated Denver YMCA Mobile App
We're also updating the Denver YMCA mobile app with new features and a more convenient member experience. You'll still be able to reserve group exercise classes up to 10 days in advance, view your reservations and access your membership barcode.
Plus, new features will allow you to:
- Reserve Adventure Zone
- Purchase Personal Training and Pilates Reformer sessions
- View trainer photos and bios
- Check facility hours
- Log workouts and connect health data
- Access YMCA360 and more
And good news: your existing membership barcode will automatically transfer to the new system and sync with the updated app.
Easier, More Secure Payments
You'll also notice new secure payment terminals at our YMCA front desks. The new terminals will allow you to pay by inserting or tapping your debit or credit card or using Apple Pay or Google Pay. You'll even be able to securely sign waivers directly on the screen.
What Do I Need to Do?
For now, there's just one important step: make sure the email address connected to your YMCA membership is current. Your email will be essential for setting up your new accounts.
Beginning Sept. 8, members will need to:
- Set up their new YMCA online account.
- Update the Denver YMCA mobile app if it doesn't update automatically.
- Create a new mobile app account using the email associated with their YMCA account.
- Go to the Apple Store.
- Search Denver YMCA.
- Click on the black tile. Not "open".
- Once you click on the black tile, you'll see an option to update. From there, follow the steps as first time user.
We're Here to Help
We know new technology can take a little getting used to, and you won't have to navigate the change alone. On-site support will be available at YMCA centers Sept. 8 – 9 to help members and participants create and update their accounts.
Thank you for your patience as we make these improvements. We're excited to bring you a simpler, more convenient YMCA experience — online, in the app and at your Y.
