Associations/Agencies
Mile High United Way coordinates more than 50,000 individual donors, 800 local businesses, 100 nonprofit organizations, and numerous community resources to deliver long-term solutions for thousands of people in metro Denver. Together we can do what none of us can do alone. The YMCA has partnered with Mile High United Way to create lasting change for people in our community through their three initiatives: School Readiness, Youth Success and Adult Self Sufficiency.

The BBB Wise Giving Alliance helps donors make informed giving decisions and advances high standards of conduct among organizations that solicit contributions from the public. The YMCA is proud to be part of the BBB Wise Giving Alliance and a member of the Denver/Boulder BBB receiving our Gold Star Award.

This nationwide program provides JCPenney customers the opportunity to make donations to the JCPenney Afterschool Fund at the cash register by rounding up their JCPenney store purchases to the next whole dollar. The JCPenney Afterschool Fund, in turn, donates the store’s Round-Up collections to the afterschool programs at the YMCA of Metropolitan Denver. The next JCPenney Round Up is scheduled for December 4-13th, remember to shop at your local JCPenney store and remember to round up!

FirstBank-Recognized as our 2008 Community Partner FirstBank has been associated with the YMCA for the past 27 years giving their employees the opportunity to become active volunteers by coaching our youth sports, serving on boards and committees. They have been a major donor to our Capital Campaigns, Strong Kids Campaign, Janet’s Camp, Golf for Kids Tournament and our Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration.

Hi Country Wire and Telephone- Hi Country Wire and Telephone has been involved with the YMCA for 20 years. They have been a donor to our Capital Campaigns, Strong Kids Campaign, Janet’s Camp and Golf for Kids tournament. Their employees have taken part in our corporate membership program and Bob Whitfield Sr., President and CEO, serves on our YMCA Board of Trustees.
